OFFICIAL NOTES

This page is not required reading
for everyone who watches over MAJOLICAMAIDEN.

However,

for anyone creating works
using the four voice models
or characters,

we ask that they read through this page
at least once.

The contents written here

“are not intended to restrict creation or interpretation.”

This page summarizes
the accurate history of MAJOLICAMAIDEN
and the background that the official side wishes to share,

and “has been published
to prevent information that differs from the facts
from spreading through misunderstandings or speculation.”

Until now, the creator has valued
the open space that vocal synth characters can have,

and has made it one of the guiding principles
to leave room for the characters to expand
within those who use them and listen to them.

The creator has also believed
that past events

should not be treated
as a way to blame someone one-sidedly
or ask for sympathy.

For that reason,

the creator has made it one of the stances
not to speak about them more than necessary.

However,

within that open space and silence,

there have been cases where information
the creator never published,

or histories and positions
different from what they truly are,

have been treated as if they were facts.

There is no intention to blame
the people who wrote those things,

or those who received them that way
at the time.

This page is also

“not based on the assumption
that anyone acted with malice.”

However,

even within words and interpretations
that carry no malice,

the creator believes it is important

“to prevent the existence of the four
from taking on a meaning different from what they truly are

and spreading in that form.”

For that reason, the creator is leaving here,

as a “record,”

how the four came to exist,

how they have walked,

and how they have been cherished.

“This page is not, in itself,
the Terms of Use.”

The conditions for using the voice models
and vocal synth characters
follow
“the Terms of Use of LUNAI Project.”

However, everything written here
is an important standard
when creating with the four.

Together with the rules set by those terms,

and in order to understand
why those boundaries are necessary,

“anyone creating works
using the four voice models
or characters

is asked to review the contents of this page
before production or publication.”

HISTORY

Each of the four began
from a single
“voice.”

In 2012, Meiji Gahata was the first to be born.

She was not a character whose every detail
had been decided from the beginning.

The creator imagined her appearance from that voice,
and over time, gradually found her outline.

At the root of that are these wishes:

“Every voice deserves a place where it can dream.”

“Even if it looks foolish in someone else’s eyes,
longing for a dream is beautiful.”

With that, Meiji gradually took shape
as a dreamer witch.

The phrase in Meiji’s current profile,
“a witch who awakened from sleep,”

is not a setting that the creator added later as a story.

It refers to an actual event that happened in Meiji’s life.

In 2019, Meiji’s public release was once ended.

At the time, within an external project she was involved in,
Meiji’s name and existence were handled
in a way the creator did not intend.

This was not simply a difference in interpretation,
nor was it merely a matter of moving away
from the image the creator wanted.

Through actions carried out using Meiji’s name,
others were hurt, and misunderstandings about Meiji were created.

It was a crisis involving
where Meiji as an existence belonged,
as well as the very way she should originally be managed and treated.

The creator objected to that treatment,
and did everything possible to correct the situation.

However, within the relationship with that external project at the time,
it was difficult to protect Meiji through the creator’s will alone.

As a result,

misunderstandings, negative impressions, and rumors about Meiji spread,
and direct slander as well as statements that were not factual
began to increase.

Meiji was only singing songs,
drinking tea,
and dreaming.

To protect her,
on November 19, 2019,
the creator laid Meiji to sleep inside a coffin.

Bibi Jyougasaki and Wistaria Toujoh
had been released a little before that
as
“Meiji’s friends,”
in a preceding form.

After Meiji had gone to sleep,
the two of them became
a source of support for the creator.

This was also included
in the expressions of that time,

and as that expression spread
in a way that could make them appear
to be successors,

this created room for the three of them
to be compared within a context
of superiority and inferiority.

Within those comparisons,
Bibi and Wistaria’s voices and impressions
were sometimes spoken about negatively.

However,

the creator did not take those judgments
as meaning that they were inferior,
or as something that needed to be corrected.

The creator, too,
was surprised that they were characters
who came across differently
from the image imagined before recording.

But that difference,

for the creator,
had existed from the beginning
as an
“unexpected charm.”

And while the two share the same core of
“not obeying someone else’s idea of correctness,”
they each gained a different theme.

For Bibi,
it is expressing fashion as self-determination.
It is choosing her own cuteness for herself
and not losing sight of who she is.

For Wistaria,
it is that even a sensibility no one else understands
can have an order that belongs to that person.
It is that beauty is not only something bright and healthy.

However,

during the time Meiji was asleep,
the two of them did not make their formal debut
as only the two of them.

Rather than standing on stage
while leaving their dear friend behind,

they “chose to wait for the day
when the three of them could stand side by side.”

Back then,
details such as their age, height, and birthdays
had not yet been revealed by them.

After some seasons had passed,
a proposal was made to the creator:

“Would you like to create a new voice model?”

That production involved
LUNAI Project,
a DiffSinger production team.

LUNAI Project has kindly supported
the production of the voice model.

However,

“the history and policies of MAJOLICAMAIDEN,
the relationships among the four,
and the official views described on this page
are records from the creator and the MAJOLICAMAIDEN side.”

At first,
the creator also considered creating
a new character and voice model
based on the creator’s own voice.

But as the discussions moved forward,

the singing voice once laid to sleep,
the existence of Meiji Gahata,
appeared before the creator once again.

Time had passed.
The harmful rumors had grown quiet,
and the wounds had faded enough
that their marks were no longer prominent.

The creator decided that this was the time
to call her back from sleep.

August 8, 2025.

With various forms of help,
Meiji Gahata returned in a new form
to the people who loved her.

In November of the same year,
a male character named Momo Kissme joined,
and the four made their pre-debut as MAJOLICAMAIDEN.

Momo was not born solely for outward-facing development,
nor was releasing him as a vocal synth character
the primary purpose.

Before he was made public,

he had already been quietly welcomed into MAJOLICAMAIDEN
as
“someone who would stand beside the three of them.”

His voice was recorded by a different provider
from Meiji, Bibi, and Wistaria.

Momo, too, is a character born through a natural connection
between what was imagined from his voice,

what the creator experienced and learned
through working with Meiji and the others,

and “what the creator wanted to treasure,”

which became clearer

through facing them sincerely.

His recording was carried out
around the time Meiji’s revival
was becoming concrete.

At first,
the recording was not carried out
for the purpose of creating a voice model.

Rather, it was something necessary
for MAJOLICAMAIDEN’s expression,

and it was being developed
within MAJOLICAMAIDEN itself.

If Meiji was going to awaken,

and if Bibi and Wistaria were also going to walk beside her,

the creator did not want the three of them
to continue forward with misunderstandings attached to them,

or to spread as something
that could hurt someone

because of events like those in the past
and ways of speaking about them
that were different from who they truly are.

The creator wished for the three of them
to be cherished as they each are,

and to be able to continue walking forward.

For that reason, within MAJOLICAMAIDEN,

rather than adding more rigid rules,

we chose

“to show what should be cherished
through the way they themselves exist”

as our method.

That choice took shape
through Momo as a character

as the stance of

“saying that what is precious is precious”

and

“respecting what one loves.”

Having Momo join the three,

and having him hold
respect and affection toward them,

was not unnatural
within MAJOLICAMAIDEN.

At the same time,

the way this affection was presented
needed to be handled carefully,

so that it would not limit
who the three of them are.

The words used when he was first introduced
were meant to preserve both

the open space he had as a vocal synth character

and

the place Momo had originally held
within MAJOLICAMAIDEN.

Meiji’s
“cherishing longing and hope.”

Bibi’s
“choosing what one loves for oneself.”

Wistaria’s
“that even a sensibility that is difficult to understand
can be a part of what makes that person who they are.”

With the addition of Momo’s theme,

“being able to say that what is precious is precious,
and that one’s own self may be loved, too,”

the four themes became a single strength that supports them all.

Holding the feeling of longing for something
and falling in love
straightforwardly.

Cherishing that feeling
as something anyone may have.

Choosing what one loves for oneself.

Not giving that choice away to someone else.

That the sensibility of finding something dear
has a certain meaning in itself.

That this certainty
is not something measured by how it appears.

These were not added afterward.

When the four stood together,
what had been placed within each of them
came together as a single meaning,

and also became proof
that this is MAJOLICAMAIDEN as it is now.

“The contents written here are not intended
as an explanation of a fictional world setting
or as character introductions.

They are the facts and history
of how MAJOLICAMAIDEN reached its current form,
and they are standards that should be reviewed
together with the Terms of Use
when handling the four voice models or characters.

Also,

this is not a set of values meant to be shown off to anyone
or imposed on anyone.”

MAJOLICAMAIDEN is not trying to protect itself
by making a forceful appeal outward.

Rather, through the relationship among the four itself,
it holds a stance of treating what is precious as precious
and protecting one another.

For that reason,
the contents written here

“are not meant to narrow anyone’s creation or interpretation
more than necessary.”

The boundaries maintained through love
are not there for the sake of rejection.

They exist “to protect the four,
the things the four hold dear,
and the people who care about the four.”

The things that happened in the past
are not merely sad records
left behind for MAJOLICAMAIDEN.

They were also part of the path
that made it clear
what should be cherished
and what should be protected.

Through that path,
the four have gathered in their current form.

The four have each traveled a different path.

They have different voices,
came this far with different footsteps,
and are in this room for different reasons.

“This is a place where favorite things were picked up,
decorated, and arranged.”

To love the things they love even more.
To keep loving the things they have loved.

Even today,
the four sing,
laugh,
and sometimes take little detours,

spending time together in this room.
